Prevention Workshops by EASTIE Coalition
Overview: The EASTIE Coalition promotes the HOPE Framework (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences), which emphasizes the importance of positive experiences for health and development. HOPE aims to counteract childhood trauma and improve the well-being of children, families, and communities.
EASTIE Curriculum:
The curriculum is built around the four pillars of the HOPE framework:
Positive, Trusting Relationships:
Workshop: “One Love”
Focus: Building healthy relationships.
Safe, Equitable, and Stable Environments:
Activity: Mapping “protective spaces” for living, learning, and playing at home, school, and in the community.
Participation: Social and Civic Engagement:
Goal: Encourage community involvement, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging.
Emotional Growth:
Focus: Developing self-regulation and self-awareness skills.
These workshops aim to create supportive environments that foster growth and resilience in individuals and communities.
